Shankar Dayal brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in international commodity trade operations. His expertise spans contracts, risk control, EXIM, documentation, and execution across a wide range of agri and non-agri commodities, covering liquid bulk, dry bulk, break-bulk, and containerized shipments.
His long career with organizations such as Bunge, Conagra, Tata, and ITC has given him deep, practical exposure to global supply chains, operational risk, and execution discipline across diverse geographies and trade structures.
Through Optraedge Solutions Private Limited, Shankar partners with businesses globally to strengthen trade operations and build capable, future-ready teams. The firm’s core focus areas include:

Since 2016, he has also been a distinguished insolvency professional, with deep expertise in corporate restructuring for stressed and distressed entities, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic collaborations.

Alok has been instrumental in setting up delivery centres for multinational organizations in India and has made strategic investments across multiple sectors, reflecting both breadth and adaptability in his approach.
